Lake Hindmarsh

Protected as a Lake Reserve, Lake Hindmarsh is Victoria's largest freshwater lake and is extremely popular for holiday makers and wildlife.
The Wimmera River originates on the Great Dividing Range near Beaufort and ends in a series of "terminal lakes", including Lake Hindmarsh, Lake Albacutya and finally, the Wyperfeld flood plains.
 
 
A favourite location for boating, skiing, swimming, fishing, or just lazing around the beautiful Lake Hindmarsh.
